How does that decision get made? That’s the role of Wirecutter’s commerce team, a group of more than a dozen individuals who determine how to get Wirecutter readers the best shopping experience once they press the buy button.
Because the retailers we link to fall under the purview of Wirecutter’s commerce team, which is independent from our newsroom and has no influence over the picks our journalists make, I spoke with executive director of commerce Leilani Han and commerce optimization manager Jennifer Smith to get the details.
